In the state of Jalisco, the Cruz Blanca neighborhood told its own story through its streets, its hills, and its voices. Children and young people mapped the neighborhood, took photographs, interviewed their neighbors, and filmed.
“Everything you are about to see was an adventure, a really good experience,” the young people write in the exhibition text. “We walked all over the neighborhood to photograph the places and the people. We drew the neighborhood and made maps. We wanted to show people what there is in the neighborhood, and that we are good kids. Now we are exhibiting the neighborhood!”
The film and the exhibition share the same title, chosen by the group. The posters were wheatpasted on the facades of Cruz Blanca, right where the photos were taken.
