about us / support and collaborate / living somewhere is also telling its story

social housing providers

Lobbies, concrete decks, building entrances and common areas are where our projects live. With social housing providers, we turn these spaces into places of creation, memory and dialogue with tenants.

what we build with social housing providers

  • the memory of a housing complexDocumenting lived-in heritage before, during and after a renovation or demolition: images, stories, personal archives, portraits of places. This is what we do in Les Malassis, in Bagnolet, and in Franc-Moisin, in Saint-Denis, with the Amicale des locataires (the tenants’ association).
  • hands-on consultationSensory maps, drawings on photographs, street interviews: making tenants’ real uses and expectations clear, then passing them on to your teams. In the Almont neighborhood, fifteen proposals (drawings, photomontages) were summarized and passed on to the partners redesigning the concrete deck.
  • social ties and living togetherOutreach workshops right outside the buildings, open to all generations, that bring common areas back to life.
  • public presentations on your propertiesExhibitions in lobbies, on facades, fences and concrete decks, screenings, and exhibitions hosted in your local offices: “Le rêve de Pablo” was shown at Nanterre Coop Habitat.
  • findings passed on to your teamsA summary of what residents said and proposed, useful for on-site property management, neighborhood upkeep and redevelopment projects.

within your frameworks

In priority neighborhoods, our work can fit into the 2025-2030 agreements on the use of the TFPB allowance (a property-tax reduction that social housing providers reinvest in these neighborhoods), especially under the headings “social development, living together and social ties” and “tenant consultation and awareness.” It can also support an urban renewal project: memory, consultation, rehousing.

From the scoping stage on, we work with you to plan ahead for display permissions and access to common areas: that is what allows public presentations to take place where tenants live.

the difference it makes

  • for tenantsSeeing themselves differently and being seen differently; taking part in decisions about where they live; passing on a memory.
  • for common areasConcrete decks, lobbies and building entrances brought back to life for the length of the workshops and exhibitions.
  • for your teamsResidents’ voices, documented and ready to pass on, and a closer relationship with tenants’ associations, caretakers and neighborhood organizations.

how we work together

  1. a walking assessment

With your on-site teams, the tenants’ association and neighborhood organizations.

  2. a scoping phase

The starting question, the participants, the available spaces, permissions, the schedule.

  3. workshops

Photography, sound, mapping, writing, drawing, through outreach and regular sessions.

  4. a public presentation in the housing complex

An exhibition, a screening or a walking tour, with the tenants.

  5. a handover

A summary, an archive and a final report, handed over to your teams and partners.
