- The exhibition “que fotos são essas,” in the Ladeira da Preguiça, one Saturday at four in the afternoon.
“Aqui é Salvador, cidade do povo vencedor”: their text speaks of a close-knit community, where people share a meal, a smile. The photographs range from the abandoned casarão covered in paintings to Paulo Tubarão’s bar, from the beco da Califórnia to the women selling snacks, all the way to family portraits: a mother and her daughter, a cousin who plays soccer, Lorena on the stairs.
Around the photographs, the children drew the Ladeira, its houses, its streets and the bay; the murals covering its walls are everywhere in their pictures. The title of the exhibition answers the name of the cultural center.
