With Semilleros Creativos, the children and young people of Cherán, a Purépecha town in Michoacán, photographed the festivals, traditions, and faces of their village, then wrote down what each image makes them feel.

- An exhibition in fourteen panels: the photographs and their captions.
The Way of the Cross, the masks, the dances of the kataracuas, the flour and soot thrown during the festivities, the buñuelos sold in the plaza, the spinning tops, the horses, the church, the cerro above the houses: the images tell of a village in celebration and in everyday life, in color and in black and white.
The captions are their own, written in Spanish. They speak of attachment to traditions, family memories, humor, and sometimes a note of concern: “It reminds me of my grandma,” “The tradition of Michoacán: selling buñuelos,” “It makes me sad, I don’t like it when animals are locked up.”
