The Capsulerie and La Noue are two neighborhoods of Bagnolet, a few streets apart and rarely brought together. In the summer of 2023, mOst offered the young people of both centers a crossed residency: meeting through images, each photographing and filming their own neighborhood, then discovering the other's.
“We took photos in the Caps and in La Noue. We did street interviews to find out and understand what people thought of the neighborhood. We filmed and talked with passersby,” the young people write in the exhibition text. “We like playing in our neighborhoods and having a few shops. We don't like that the buildings are too old. We would like new buildings, or for them to be in better shape.”
Each of them chose their photos and gave them a title and a few words: the rond, the cube, the Caps basketball hoop, the piques of La Noue, the yellow tower, the lobby of building 7. “What you are going to see in this show is the way we wanted to present our neighborhoods to you, the way we see them!” The exhibition went up in both neighborhoods: on the fences of the Capsulerie, along the walkways of La Noue and as large collages on the pillars.

two neighborhoods, one wall
The large collage of the exhibition mixes the images of both groups: the towers, the murals, the courts and the faces of the Capsulerie and La Noue.
“We picked photos, then added captions, explanations and titles so that you would understand them.”
“We also explained our choices so that you would get us.”
“We did this workshop with the Fosse and Toffo centers, and we mixed together.”
